Customs and Import Duties
Those duties have the objective to favour the domestic industry of your
country doing more expensive the importations. The amount highly depends on the
country and the type of imported good. We never include import taxes in our
invoices.
We declare our products to be musical instruments (when
finished) or parts for musical instruments (for kits and accessories).
Customers in the
European Union
As all our products are made in Europe, our customers in the European
Union do not have to pay any Import duty.
Customers outside the
European Union
When ordering goods from RWC for delivery overseas, in addition to
the Taxes (VAT or Sales Taxes), you may be
subject to customs duties, fees and taxes that are levied once the package
reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be also
borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they
may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should
contact your local customs office for further information. For musical
instruments or parts for musical instruments this duty is normally between 0%
and 4%.
If your order is small, both in volume and
price, and is addressed to a natural person, it is probable that your box is not
stopped at customs and you could not pay VAT, sales taxes or other duties, but
we cannot control that point.
Additionally, please note that when ordering from Renaissance Workshop
company, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws
and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. You are
responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the
destination country.
When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond
our original delivery estimates.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how
information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international
customers to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and
inspection by customs authorities.
Also, we must provide certain order, shipment, and product information, such as
titles, to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated
by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance
and comply with local laws.
Customs authorities require the value of the gift item to be stated directly on
the package. If the order is a gift, the package is marked "GIFT", but the cost
of the item is still stated on the customs form.
The above terms also apply to the shipment of any replacement product that might
be shipped if there is a problem with the original shipment.
